First some Good News...

For those of you who haven't used the Op Doc Wizard yet, check out our product blogs to learn a little bit more about this super valuable tool. Essentially, the Op Doc Wizard simplifies business innovation, compliance, employee participation and adoption, and eliminates the need for cumbersome employee manuals with tedious review and comment cycles. Trust me, you'll love it!

Anyway, since it's release three months ago the Op Doc Wizard's user base has grown by leaps and bounds. We are very pleased with our expanding user base and would like to extend a thanks to all of our current clients for your support and excellent feedback. We love hearing from you all! (On a side note, please use the forums for troubleshooting rather than emailing us directly when possible since using the forums will help benefit the entire community).

Now for some un-good (but important) news...

As a result of the increased adoption of the Op Doc Wizard and the volume of traffic generated, our current servers are just about tapped out. To continue to provide fast and reliable access to your information we will be upgrading our hardware this coming week which will result in a short down time. This Thursday, June 26 from 06:00 PM MST through 06:00 AM on Friday, June 27 some users may experience difficulty accessing our website and their Op Doc Wizard subscriptions. Many users will experience a much shorter delay and some may experience an extended delay1.

And now for some double-plus-good news

We have received a lot of valuable feedback regarding the Op Doc Wizard since its release and we have been quietly and diligently working on some exciting improvements. It seems like now is a convenient time to release our next round of upgrades since we will have some down time to deal with anyway. All of these enhancements have been under beta testing with a small group of clients for a little while and we believe they're ready for everyone now2. Below I've listed some of these new improvements with some snappy screen shots.

Navigation

We have done some pretty major revamping of our Op Doc Wizard navigation interface which has greatly increased it's usability and ease of navigation. The old web-style menu links have been replaced with large buttons, drop down menus, and intuitive, labeled icons for all actions.

Menu enhancements

Compliance

I blogged a bit back about our Compliance...well, it's ready to roll now! This new feature allows managers to track which users have acknowledged and complied with documents and gives users quick access and visual reminders for op docs that need to be complied with for their positions. In addition, managers have the ability to quickly review users out of compliance with op docs and generate email reminders to review and comply with critical op docs.

Compliance

Ajax Commenting

We have increased the viewing area of the comments by embedding them into the main op doc detail view. Additionally, comments may now be submitted without reloading the entire page, which is a great benefit for some of those larger documents.

Op Doc Comments

Improved Tagging

The tagging system has been greatly simplified. Tagging is as easy as typing in a tag name or selecting an existing tag from a drop down list.

Reviewer Assignments

Reviewer information may now be modified on the op doc detail view quickly and easily with just a click and select. This is handy when you're reviewing an op doc and want to quickly assign a reviewer and review schedule without jumping back to the list view.

Reviewer Assignment

Calendar Integration

Speaking of op doc reviews, now you can take a look at op doc review assignments in a convenient calendar view by the week or month. This is a great way to get a bird's eye view on all of your assignments and other's assignments for op doc reviews and stay on top of keeping all op docs up-to-date and relevant.

Quick Jump

Ever want to quickly jump to a specific op doc by number? Well now you can jump to any op doc simply by punching the number into a convenient "Quick Jump" box.

All in all, we have put together a great series of enhancements and hope that you save some time and energy as a result. Feel free to leave your feedback here on this article or on our forums - and thanks again for your support both past, current and future!

1 Any users that require a zero down time may contact us for instructions on manually configuring DNS settings on their PCs

2 All of these features represent an increase in ease of use, but may take a time or two to get used to. The documentation may not be ready right away, but should follow the upgrade by a week or so, If you have questions in the mean-time, please feel free to jump on our forums.
